Oli Howe
Oli Howe is a British pianist, composer, and producer based in Brighton, UK, recognized for his innovative approach to jazz and fusion music. Originally from Surrey, Howe relocated to Brighton in his early thirties to immerse himself in the vibrant local music scene.
In 2020, Howe released his debut album, “Moving Forward,” which garnered significant attention within the UK jazz community. The album’s tracks were featured on prominent Spotify playlists such as “State Of Jazz” and “Global Groove,” amassing over 3.8 million streams.
Continuing his exploration of genre-blending compositions, Howe released the EP “Hackney Daze” in 2022 under Bamboo Recordings. This six-track project further solidified his reputation, accumulating over 2.8 million streams on Spotify within six months.
In 2024, Howe unveiled his third album, “Six,” also on Bamboo Recordings. This work delved into high-energy live performances, seamlessly merging jazz, fusion, R&B, gospel, and hip-hop elements. The album emphasized themes of connection and togetherness, featuring inventive improvisations, rich soundscapes, and soulful grooves.
Howe’s collaborations extend to notable artists such as trumpeter Jackson Mathod and multi-instrumentalist David Mrakpor. Their joint 2022 track, “It’s All Good,” received editorial playlist placements on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, including “State Of Jazz” and “Jazz UK.”
Beyond studio recordings, Howe has shared stages with esteemed musicians like YolanDa Brown, Omar Lyefook, Billy Cobham, and Taylor McFerrin. He has performed at renowned venues, including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, and the Love Supreme Jazz Festival.
