Mike Stobbie
Mike Stobbie is a Scottish keyboardist, composer, and producer, renowned for his versatility across various musical genres. Growing up in Aberdeen, Scotland, during the 1970s, he co-founded the progressive rock band Pallas, contributing significantly to their sound and success.
Beyond his work with Pallas, Stobbie has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Tinie Tempah, Lana Del Rey, Natalie Imbruglia, and Lesley Garrett, showcasing his adaptability in both pop and classical music spheres.
His expertise extends to musical theatre, having programmed and contributed to numerous West End productions such as “Cats,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Misérables,” and “Mary Poppins.”
In film and television, Stobbie composed the score for Aardman Animations’ BAFTA-winning series “Timmy Time,” which has been broadcast in over 180 countries.
In recent years, Stobbie faced a life-altering challenge when he contracted necrotizing fasciitis, resulting in the amputation of fingers on his left hand. Despite this, he remains active in the music industry, demonstrating resilience and dedication to his craft.
