Adam Wakeman

Adam Wakeman is a British keyboardist, guitarist, and composer, best known for his work with rock and metal legends such as Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Born in 1974, he is the son of renowned progressive rock keyboardist Rick Wakeman. Adam developed his musical skills at an early age, studying classical piano before expanding into rock, jazz, and fusion.

His career took off in the 1990s with the formation of the progressive rock band Jeronimo Road and session work with various artists. In 2004, he joined Ozzy Osbourne’s band, contributing keyboards, rhythm guitar, and backing vocals both in the studio and on tour. His involvement with Black Sabbath followed, playing alongside Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Osbourne during their later tours, including the 13 album cycle and farewell shows.

Beyond his work in heavy rock, Wakeman has a rich career as a solo artist and collaborator. He co-founded the progressive rock duo Headspace with Damian Wilson and has worked with artists such as Travis, Annie Lennox, and Will Young. His side project, Jazz Sabbath, reimagines Black Sabbath classics in a jazz style, showcasing his versatility.

In addition to performing, Wakeman is a sought-after session musician and producer. He has released several solo albums, including Neon Nights and A Handful of Memories. With his deep musical heritage and diverse expertise, Adam Wakeman continues to make a significant impact across multiple genres.
