Cory Henry

Cory Henry is a Grammy-winning keyboardist, composer, and producer known for his virtuosic organ playing and genre-blending approach to jazz, funk, gospel and R&B. Born in 1987 in Brooklyn, New York, Henry was a child prodigy, playing the Hammond B3 organ in church from the age of two. His deep gospel roots remain a core influence in his music.

Henry gained international recognition as a member of the acclaimed jazz-fusion collective Snarky Puppy, contributing to their Grammy-winning albums Sylva (2015) and Culcha Vulcha (2016). His dazzling solos and improvisational skills on the organ earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting keyboardists of his generation.

In addition to his work with Snarky Puppy, Henry launched a successful solo career, forming The Funk Apostles, a band that fuses funk, soul, jazz, and gospel. His solo projects, including Art of Love (2018) and Something to Say (2020), showcase his talents as a singer, songwriter, and producer, blending vintage sounds with modern production. His 2021 album Best of Me earned critical acclaim, further cementing his place as a leading voice in contemporary soul and funk.

Henry’s ability to bridge jazz, gospel, and R&B with technical mastery and emotional depth has made him one of the most influential keyboardists of his generation. Whether through his solo work, collaborations, or live performances, he continues to push musical boundaries and inspire audiences worldwide.
