There are a raft of new products being released at this years Musikmesse, including a new synth and vocoder from Waldorf.
Waldorf STVC
To compete with the Korg range of keyboard-based vocoders, Waldorf have released the STVC String Synthesizer and Vocoder. Based on the Streichfett module synth, the STVC features the same controls but with the added bonus of a 49 full size Fatar keybed that has velocity and aftertouch. Added to this is vocoder functionality with a gooseneck mic.
Waldorf Quantum
The Quantum is a powerful new hybrid flagship synth allowing for an amazing array of sound design options by combining analogue and digital synthesis. Boasting 3 oscillators per voice, 6 LFO’s, 6 envelopes, 2 dual analogue filters, onboard effects and sampling inputs, the possibilities are vast. Control in real time using pots and touch screen.
